Day 18 of captivity...

It's been 18 days since I started building my new website, and last night I hit the big red button. I published around 2am while on hold with tech support. It seems you can't connect your old domain to your new domain unless you are live. I had to hide my store from viewers since I'm not ready for customers just yet. The two primary reasons being a complete lack of inventory and being woefully unprepared for somebody to actually order a book. Everything is on fire, but it's fine, it's totally fine.

Building my own website was hugely intimidating. Still is. The more I learn about the website, the more I realize I need to learn more. Nobody promised me this would get easier, but I kind of assumed it would.

The tech support person who helped me go live said I needed to add a blog. Told me where to find the button and was very helpful. I'm still not sure what to do with a blog. I poked it with a stick a few times and it didn't do anything. However, I always listen to tech support.
