ABOUT THE AUTHOR
ROBERT LIEBERTZ

Robert Liebertz was born in Portland Oregon but grew up in the suburb of Gresham. He worked a number of different jobs including waiting tables, installing fences, and selling vacuums.

He found his calling at the 911 center answering calls and dispatching police for the City of Portland. Robert worked as a 911 dispatcher for over thirty years, retiring in March of 2021.

Robert has been married to his wife Margaret since 1992. They have two grown children, Lucas and Emma. They also have two Siberian huskies, Nova and Ella.

Robert has been attending pirate festivals for decades. At one event, a friend encouraged him to invent his own character and backstory. That backstory evolved into his first book. He started writing 'Gerard's Fortune' in October 2020 and finished in January 2021.
He spent months looking for a publisher when covid had shut everything down. Frustrated with the wait, Robert decided to self-publish with Amazon. He now has five books published in the 'SHARP TALES' series, and is working on the sixth and final book.
His website, youtube, and facebook can all be found under the tag 'sevenminutesofpiracy'.
